I did start this over a year ago.
Anyone who knows me is saying, duh, no shit! I actually ed the program… NoBSWoman. So I did it all…burned out… and did nothing except gain everything and more back. Eat when and what you want. And you know what? My weight has remained within 5 lbs. Not only that, but stayed at least 15 lbs below my highest weight ever! I had heard about Intuitive Eating.
I was in the mood to take a look and ed. That was over 3 weeks ago. My thoughts…Gulp!
What am I doing? I am so glad I did! The physical weight loss stuff is simple not easy, simple. You can do a free course from Corinne and listen to her podcast to get more info if you want it.
It took me a couple of weeks to connect the dots that I was doing CBT… talk about not seeing the forest for the trees! So for the past 3 weeks, I have lost over 4 lbs. And I am thrilled!
I have done it eating all my favourite junk food. All as I planned. Other than the thought work… relearning ways to talk to myself, teaching myself to work through cravings they are just thoughts and feelings, not hungerlearning to feel my feelings instead of numbing them with food. Learning to dissociate food from anything other than fuel. This is NOT a crash diet. But I will lose weight while I do it the way I plan to live after the weight is gone. Learning new habits, loving myself and improving my health.
